Benny Benny loves his "brother" Jake more than anyone and would prefer to be sleeping or laying down with him. When Benny meows, he sounds royal....it's sounds like Browwww....with a rolling of the tongue. Benny is obsessed with going into anything he sees....buckets, hanging pant legs, desks, closets, boxes, violin cases you name it he's been in it. He also loves to take showers....he loves water. Before Benny does anything he seems to think about it first, he's definitely a character.

Jake Jake is the protector of our house, he loves his brother and sisters. He was an abused 4 week old baby when a friend of mine rescued him and gave him to us. His tail was broken off and he was starving. We took him in and nurtured him, he has no remaining scars of his abuse except his short tail. He is a mush, he loves people and everyone that meets him falls in love with him too.

Samantha Samantha is our oldest, although she was the last to come live with us. While volunteering at a shelter, Samantha decided she liked me and made sure she got my attention. I fell in love with her immediately and took her home. She was about 4 years old then. About a year and a half later she got a very serious infection that landed her in the hospital for a month. It was touch and go until the vet found the source of her infection. Sammy and I have been through a lot together, she is my soul mate. |
Angelique Angelique came to our house as a foster. She is the half sister of Benny (from the litter after his) and she was only supposed to stay with us a short time. My daughter Christina took one look at her and decided Angelique was hers, apparently Angelique felt the same way because Christina is Angelique's favorite person. Needless to say 8 years later Angelique is still with us....no longer a foster.

From Hong Kong, Linda
shared her family, Coco, Tashi, Carma, Princess Kneesa and Marco.
Linda writes, "Coco is a beautiful Burmese whom I adopted when her family moved back to New Zealand. The boys, Tashi and Karma, are chocolate point Siamese whom I adopted when their family didn't want them anymore (can you imagine such a thing?). I've also enclosed a photo of Princess Kneesa, a gorgeous Balinese whom I fostered in France and then gave to a loving home. I still see her now and then. And, I even sneaked in a photo of one of my mother's Bengals, Marco. His brother is Polo, of course.

Jane Richardson shared
her beautiful Ragamuffin - Muffy (California)! Isn't she a remarkable???
And
here is a wonderful close up and a nice view of Muffy's gorgeous tail!
She is
lovely and so photogenic from every angle!

Is this a purrrrrfect Christmas present??? |

Jim Stinson (Texas)
sent these photos of Dolly and Cricket - aren't they wonderful? Jim says
they are both seal point Himalayans who shared the same mother (she must be
magnificent) and had different fathers." He adds, "After
a few tense moments when first introduced, they quickly became inseparable
playmates."

Rebecca introduced us to her beauties, June, Pearl and Keiko (Washington State).
Be sure to visit the links to Cat of the Day to learn more about Pearl and
Keiko.
|
Pearl is the 16+ year old senior cat of the family. She is a blue point Siamese that has been with me since 8 weeks old. She was diagnosed with Lymphoma cancer in 2003. With the help of her oncologist and the 24/7 lap/care we have given her these last three years, she has beat the odds and currently remains in remission. She is a local celebrity of sorts and we love her dearly. |

June is our youngest cat who is now almost four. We've had her since she was a kitten. She was adopted to be a companion to our other two "middle aged cats". Two months after joining our family, our eldest cat was diagnosed with cancer. We thought we had made a mistake getting this lively kitten who at the time was a terror around Pearl~~always wanting to play. But over the last three years, we have found that June's "antics" have actually stimulated and invigorated Pearl and has helped her during her illness

Keiko - "Cat of the Day" on: 2/20/06 Keiko joined our family almost nine years ago as a kitten from a litter that was abandoned at an apt complex. She is extremely loving and mellow and has to put up with our other cat "June" who tends to be an obnoxious teenager and our other feline "Pearl" who is top cat and rules the roost. Keiko tolerates both just fine as long as there's plenty of food and catnip around. |

We thank Krista for sharing her sweet babies,
Snooker and Pepper. They are both rescued kitties (Pennsylvania).

Krista says boxes are Snooker's favorite places. If its an empty box, she/s in it. (I keep two on the kitchen floor under the table just for her). |

Pepper is named after a kitten Krista had as a child that was lost on Halloween night. She is 7 years old. |

From California, we'd like to introduce
Bob and Pat's sweet girl, Jeudi!
|
|
|
Bob writes:
On April 6,
2006, my wife, Pat visited the Monterey County SPCA where she saw this beautiful
little black and white cat. She came home and told me about her. We went
back, and learned that the cat had been abandoned on their property, quite
pregnant. Shortly after they took her in she had babies, all stillborn, and
became depressed. An SPCA volunteer named Judy took particular care of the cat,
so the SPCA folks named the cat "Judy." We adopted her that day
(Thursday), and since my wife had just come from her French class, I suggested
she be called "Jeudi" (French for Thursday).
We still have plenty of room for more photos - if you'd like your babies here, just send photos!
