The Beautiful Works of Lois Andersen

For the Love of Animals
I have admired the paintings of Lois Andersen for sometime, and recently corresponded with her about sharing her wonderful paintings here. She graciously shared not only her delightful paintings, but also photos of her very own cats as well.
I know you will enjoy Lois' talent, and I hope you will visit her webpage www.loisandersen.com

Lois Introduces her own sweet furrfamily!
Sherman and Cleo were found at about 2 weeks old wet, cold and covered in fleas in a hollow Redwood stump. Raised on bottles and love.

Spanky and Cleo were caught down by the river along with their sister, Izzy, who lives next door. We lured them into a carrier, bated with canned food, one by one. Little Cleo was the last to be caught. She was very ill and the Vet did not think she would make it. They all came into our homes hissing and howling. I thought, oh dear what have I gotten into! Such wild ones! In a few days they came around. In a few weeks at Christmas they were at full throttle, living in the Christmas tree! Cleo recovered well, although she went through an awful Ugly stage probably because she had been so ill.

Last but not least little Cookie came to live with us last fall. She showed up on our deck one day. After a long hunt and discovering a microchip we found her owner. She had been lost weeks and thought to be dead. Her owner asked us if we could keep her. Well….she is spayed and all current on shots….The sweetest and most undemanding kitty. I found a home for her with a good friend. Cookie did something very naughty in the middle of the bed and was returned the next morning! So here she is our kitty now!
