Bailee Girl's
In Loving
Memory...sweet Bailee passed over Rainbow Bridge
You were such a
joy, |
|
We love telling the story of a sweet Bailee whom we rescued in July 2002. She had spent the last few years of her 10 year life outside mostly fending for herself. We were fortunate to find a new home for Bailee where she was showered with love and affection.

This is her story:
Bailee has all the characteristics of a Seal Mitted Lynx Ragdoll. Ragdoll babies have very special purrrrsonalities. She was very happy to be inside protected from storms, cars, etc. , and took plenty of time to check all the corners, of course!

Bailee is rather an
elegant little girl, and she absolutely loves attention. She has a
lovely little "motor" and every day we saw a little
more of a "sparkle" and smile in those beautiful blue eyes.
|
|
She was quite defensive around other cats (understandable, since she was forced to live outside for so long) , and preferred not to have to close contact with others in the Cat Happy Pride. We gave her her own space and encouraged her to just relax and enjoy the inside life.

Bailee loved to be
near us. She liked to join us of an evening to watch TV, and...she became adept as an office assistant during the day. She found the
computer "interesting," but had some 'reality' concerns - She actually
growled at a photo of another cat on the monitor!!!
She loved to be brushed, stretching out and offering her tummy to be brushed as well. |
We gave Bailee her own room where she could sit on the windowsill and watch the birds, cuddle in her kitty bed, or stretch out on the big bed! Having lived outside in Houston's terrible storms, she would head for the bathroom where there were no windows whenever the thunder started. It must have been so scary for her outside.
After a few weeks, Bailee remembered how to play! When we first brought her in, she ignored toys...it was delightful to see her romp with pipe cleaners and ponytail holders all over the room! It made us smile to see her "happy!" Oh, and she gives sweet kisses too!!!

Because Bailee was so intimidated by other cats, we felt it was unfair to try to keep her as a member of the Cat Happy Pride...she loved her human attention, but feared the Pride. This sweet baby's happiness is much more important than keeping her with us, so on October 5th,2002, Bailee was adopted by a wonderful family who had recently lost their kitty. She has been given the opportunity to be Queen of their home where she won't have to fear other cats. She is relaxed and happy now, and very well loved...as she should be. We miss her very much...she is sooooo special.

We have visited Bailee at her new home a number of times since her adoption, as she lives just around the corner! She is SO HAPPY! Her new family really loves her, and it was wonderful to see this little girl so relaxed and purrrfectly content. Here are some photos I took while I was there - one is of her beautiful new collar!
Her new Mom says, "Bailee is such a 'Love Bug.' She is doing fine
and continues to be a pure joy!"
