Purrecious Angelique

Meet our lovely Angel...
As many of you know, this lovely “Angel” came to us literally almost starved to death. She weighed only 2.9 lbs, yet our vet said she was about 6 months old.

Birthday celebrated October 17, 2004

Today, she is a healthy, happy, little sweetheart that seems to “dance” everywhere she goes. Her beautiful tail just sashays above her as she plays (and is even a great toy when there isn’t a ball or mouse around)! Her beautiful fur is fluffy and healthy, and her eyes just sparkle with joy.
Angel is a total delight – she is very feminine and dainty (that must be why Jim calls her "Moose") – the sweetest little girl, but she does love to romp with the other cats. One of her favorite napping places is in the top bunk of the cat condo near the window where she can watch the birds as she drifts off into kitty nap time.

Angel likes to nap on my desk so I can stroke her from time to time as I work. She has a purr that won’t quit…she even purrs herself to sleep.

It took me a while to figure out why when we reach out to pet her she puts her paws on our hands and softly nibbles our fingers. Then it dawned on me that this is what kittens do when the mama cat reaches out to them. She just loves to sleep with one of our hands in her paws.
Grooming has become one of Angel’s favorite things. She didn’t know what it was all about when she first came here, but we got her a special brush and ohhhh, does she think that is special! Purrring fills the house!

Play is very much a major part of her waking hours. Just being a happy kitten seems to be quite the pleasure for this little beauty. She almost surely missed out on most of the fun of being a kitten. It’s hard to be happy when you’re hungry.
Angel and her brother, Scotty!
